Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Mitchell Holiday Traditions

Christmas Eve is one day the family indulges Mom and agrees to an evening of activities that we do each year.



We all get dressed in our Christmas PJ's and read a Christmas story...

We bake cookies (we did gingerbread people this year) ...



Then we all pile in the van with blankets, pillows, and hot chocolate to go look at Christmas lights.


And of course we can't forget Santa's cookie and the reindeer food.

Happy Birthday Christian

Christian turned 4 this year! (YIPEEE!!!) He had fun celebrating with his friends at school and then going out for a special lunch.

First Snow - Winter '08

The kids enjoyed a day out of school for our first real winter weather of the season. The neighborhood was filled with snowball fights, snow-boarding and - yes - we have Christian who decided to sled down the icy driveway because the grass wasn't quite fast enough! Santa Express

We had a great time seeing Santa and some of his elves on the Santa Express. (In reality, I think Christian and Evan were more excited about riding on a train than seeing Santa!)

Kendall and the Rockettes

Kendall had a very special opportunity to take a class from a performer with Radio City Rockettes and then to attend the show and meet some of the cast members.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at our home turned out to be a full week-long celebration of thanks. We were so excited to have the Grandparents who came from Alabama as well as Uncle John and Aunt Cheronda who came from Texas. There were countless other family members who came from all around.

Christian's 1st Thanksgiving Program

Christian starred as an Indian in his very first school presentation. I'm sure we'll still be hearing the "Turkey Song" long after the last of the leftovers!

Sunset Middle wins JV Soccer Championship

Congratulations to Will and the middle school JV soccer team for being #1!!

Bowling Adventure

We had a great time going on a family trip to the bowling alley with some friends. Everyone had a great time but the kids truly had a blast!
